Agricola comes to town

Agricola is on a van towards me. I am hoping this game is as good as it's been hyped to be. I have caught up on the hype-mobile.

Epedemics and a bad turn of events at Canae

Pandemic has been played 5 times now in 2 weeks, in itself that is an achievment in Zeros Pad. This game is great, its got theme, great components and works very well.
i will be putting up a full review on the IGUK blog later this week, but so far this is one of the best games I have played this year.

On a different note, Mudhoney brought over Command & Colours Ancients last night and we played through the Canae scenario. Although I know the rules of Battlelore, Ancients is slightly different. Different enough for me to loose horribly after sending in the wrong troop types and getting bashed by the Romans. Mudhoney won 7 flags to 5, I need a rematch.
Ancients is now high up on my wish list, even if I will end in a sticker frenzy.

I have read the rules and it sounds like a good game, hopefully it should get a play next week.
